IMPERIAL GERMAN N.C.O.'s TUNIC
Light Blue Tunic with Yellow facings for 26 (2nd Wurttemburg) Dragoons "King" plus Buff White Belt & Sword Hanger and includes Ribbon Bar. Has silver/nickle hardware including collar discs & tresse with Sergeant's insignia on right sleeve.
All still in fair condition. In 1891 it was named after Prince William, then Crown Prince, and renamed King upon his ascension to the throne as William II of Wurttemburg. The Regiment took part in Napoleon's Russian Campaign and fought in the Austro-Prussian and Franco-Prussian Wars and was part of the 7th Cavalry Division during WW1.
