WW1 AUSTRALIAN ARMY SNARE DRUM
Original Snare Drum owned by a South Australian who played in a band at a British camp on the 6th October 1917. This band entertained Australian troops before they embarked for France. Original post card and the Drum came from the estate of an Australian Soldier, a 13414 Sgt Samuel Kenneth Milton of the AAMC 'Australian Army Medical Corps', who was also wounded in action in France. One of the hardest things to do is put a name to a Band instrument, this Drum no doubt has been re laced since WW1, but it is all genuine and dated 1914 on the brass with the British makers name.
